Juanita, a mezzo-soprano, has rapidly gained popularity for her unique voice, style, and personality. Raised in Panama and Mexico, having studied music and trained as an opera and a classical pianist-she graduated from Yale University, UC Berkeley, and the Nice Conservatory in France-Juanita has combined her love for Latin American music with her classical training and musical gifts to develop her unique singing style. She has delighted audiences in Madrid, Mexico City, Peru, Italy and the USA, and now she will share some of her knowledge in a "Vocal Power" workshop she will give also at La Raza Center, on the same Saturday at 10 am, for teachers, singers, aspiring singers and any level speaker interested in learning more about vocal health, production and career longevity with extended vocal use.
